So, let me get this straight one Presidential Candidate admits he knows nothing about economics and is no economist and the other acts as if he understands our Nation’s economy, but then when he speaks it’s clear to anyone who actually does get it, that he doesn’t. Next, we are to choose the lesser of two-evils and pick one. But, wait, Obama and McCain wish to go on TV and debate and continually discuss the subject.
Why? Because it’s on everyone’s mind, and like Bill Clinton once said when he ran against George Bush Sr. “It’s about the economy stupid!” neither of these current candidates understand the economy, so why should the American People endure a debate between the two on economic issues, when clearly neither candidate understands the economy at all.
Why not allow each of the two political candidate’s economic advisors debate the issue, rather than the candidates themselves? Let’s hear who will be actually advising these folks in the future if they are elected? A good debate with the right economists might be a worthy discussion and then the pundits can talk about the real issues that this nation faces, as monetary flows come back to the US and inflation creeps in.
Right now all we have is quick sound bites about the economy, most of which are pandering to one side or the other of the political spectrum. In doing so, all that appears to be happening is that consumer confidence is dwindling as the economic uncertainty media play pervades the TV sets of America. Think on this.
